The view will stay in your memory forever

As soon as you arrive at Polpier you’ll throw open the terrace doors and drink in the stupendous views of palm trees, aquamarine seas and boats bobbing in the harbour. The heated pool, tennis court and disco will stay on site, but the view will stay in your memory forever.

The adventure is just beginning

As well as the breath taking views, Polpier has everything for the ultimate holiday or party whatever the time of year. Enjoy long, relaxed breakfasts and lunches on the outside terrace, take a stroll with a mug of coffee and plan what produce to use from our greenhouse, vegetable, fruit and herb gardens for your menus.

Those guests with energy can swim or play tennis before early evening drinks on the front lawn while admiring the sun set. Candle-lit dinners by the wood burning stove will lead to nights dancing in your own disco.

You may never want to leave Polpier,  but if you spend time exploring the beaches, sailing or a day’s shooting, you will want to hurry back for a luxurious, lazy soak in  a roll top bath or a reviving clean up in a walk-in shower.

Relax and enjoy some quiet time watching television in your spacious bedroom. Then there are snooker or table tennis to play or magic up a movie on the home cinema. Most importantly make the most of having time to share with family and friends.

Gardens and Pool

At Polpier, below the huge lawn, lies the heated outdoor swimming pool at Polpier.

Relax poolside on the slate terrace. Enjoy the views over the harbour, and soak up the rays as the sun passes across the sky.

Behind Polpier is the club standard synthetic clay tennis court. Perfect for friendly knock abouts or your own tournament.

Polpier has two acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, with incredible harbour views. At the heart of the garden is the large front lawn, perfect for cricket and croquet. For keen chefs there is produce from the vegetable, fruit and herb gardens to experiment with. At the end of the lawn you’ll find the gazebo, which provides shade for lazy afternoons of reading and snoozing.

Living Spaces

Relax in the elegant drawing room. Cosy up on the huge corner sofa in the family room. Warm your toes by the wood burner, and settle down for a night in front of the Bose home cinema system. Use the table for those impossible jigsaws, which take days to complete, even with the whole family helping out.

The disco hall, complete with DJ booth and disco ball is the perfect place to dance the night away with your family and friends.

There is also a games room at Polpier, complete with a table tennis table, and a snooker room with and breath-taking views over the harbour.

Cooking and Dining

There is a large light-filled kitchen and dining room. At the far end, beside a wood burning stove, there is a granite topped table which seats up to 16 guests.

There is also bar with seats for ten guests and a wall mounted TV, fantastic for watching those important sporting matches.

Off the kitchen dining room there is a catering kitchen with everything you need to create a feast for your family.

For those sunny days there is a terrace just outside the kitchen dining room with another granite top table which seats up to 16.

Bedrooms

There are eight super king bedrooms in total at Polpier. In the main house there are five super king bedrooms with walk in bath or shower rooms and the spacious Aqua suite with its own master bedroom ensuite bathroom and adjoining zip and link room. Great for families with young children.

Two guests can stay in idyllic privacy in the separate Honeymoon Suite. The Honeymoon Suite sits apart from the main house and has a super king-sized double bed, en suite shower room and its own kitchenette.

Children welcome, and dogs too

At Polpier there’s something for everyone and different spaces and places for all ages. Polpier will put a smile on the faces of your family.

Teenagers will love the games room at Polpier, which has a table tennis table, separate snooker room and of course the disco.

Children of all ages will enjoy splashing around in the heated outdoor pool and letting off steam on the tennis court. Get your rackets at the ready and prepare for some fun and laughter on the courts.

Dogs also adore Polpier, running around the gardens, snoozing on the sunbeds or curling up by the woodburners.

Autumn and Winter in Mevagissey

Mevagissey is still just as charming in winter. Boats bob in the harbour and the cottages are beacons of colour along the quiet, winding streets. The fish and chips are still to die for and the pubs and restaurants glow with a warm welcome.

Wrap up for a walk on a beautiful, deserted beach. Enjoy tennis, golf, shooting and sailing on crisp, clear days. Make the most of Cornwall’s many attractions, including the Eden Project and St Ives Tate, when the maddening crowds are far away.

Polpier is a haven of comfort. Experiment cooking Polpier’s orchard apples on the Aga or curl up in front of a wood burner with a glass of mellow, red wine. Snooker and table tennis competitions, long, lazy candle-lit dinners and nights dancing in the disco.

"The house is absolutely stunning. I had no idea it would be so amazing and I honestly felt really spoilt staying there, as it’s so comfortable and luxurious and quite honestly unlike anywhere I have ever stayed before. The house was so warm and cosy and the bedrooms are just wonderful. Whoever looks after the house has done a fabulous job. The house is so clean and well cared for and everything has been so well thought out- the kitchen is well equipped and the beautiful sitting areas, with books and blankets are perfect for relaxation. I thought the house was just perfect for a yoga retreat because its really somewhere you can rest and relax, and the hallway / dance floor made an ideal space for practicing yoga. Cornwall is its own entertainment

If the house isn’t enough, lose yourself in the Lost Gardens of Heligan or marvel at the Eden Project. Potter down for a pint in the quaint fishing village of Mevagissey, walk the coastal path, take the ferry to Fowey for fresh fish. Cornwall is its own entertainment.
