Challaborough is a small beach that has great waves and is popular among surfers and body boarders all year round.

Explore Dartmouth Castle, guarding the Dart Estuary for over 600 years. It’s one of the most picturesquely sited fortresses in England.

Overbecks Museum and Garden has lovely exotic gardens. Explore the banana garden, meander through the towering purple echiums or relax beneath palms.

Enjoy a day of fun for all the family at Woodlands Leisure Park. There is an excellent variety of indoor and outdoor playzones for all ages and around 500 animals at the Zoo and a superb Falconry Centre.

You’ll find great gastro-pubs and restaurants close by. Mitch Tonks has a fantastic seafood restaurant in Dartmouth, The Seahorse, for top class dining right on the river. And possibly the best fish and chip shop anywhere, Rockfish Seafood and Chips. A must!  Or visit Sharpham Vineyard and Winery, set in a stunning location on the banks of the River Dart.
