Enjoy one of the world's top cities from one of Britain's finest houses

Uncork some party spirit in one of Britain’s finest houses - officially. Enjoy huge reception rooms, folding garden doors and feature fireplaces. Have fun in the West End, on the Common or at the Lido.

Pop a cork with a media star

The White Town House is officially Britain’s second-finest home. This London town house for twelve was runner-up in TV’s ‘I Own Britain’s Best Home’.  The White Town House is a vision of blanched good taste, so Channel 5’s winner must be very special indeed.

It’s hard to top the fabulous master suite with 20-ft bathroom, walk-in shower area and separate dressing room. Or the enormous state-of-the-art kitchen extension with sitting area, complete with five-metre island unit. It’s tough to improve on the 34-ft living room with two fireplaces, or the formal dining room with views over the park.

As a result the house is a bit of a media star, with Designers Guild, The White Company, Marks & Spencer and John Lewis all stopping by for magazine photo-calls The fun factor is a winner here, too. Throw open the folding doors onto the manicured lawn. Uncork the party spirit.

With lights, firepit and patio heater, the terrace is ripe for socialising whatever the weather. At Christmas, trees, decorations and diamante fairy lights bring extra sparkle. Out and about, Tooting Common’s wildlife, woods and walks, the lights and sights of London and Michelin dining are the cherry on the cake of a stay in one of Britain’s finest homes.

Living Spaces

The White Town House has big, open plan living spaces. Ultra-stylish, furnished with a combination of antiques and new finds.

The 34-foot living room has aged oak parquet flooring and not one but two Victorian marble fireplaces.  Plus a well stocked library area for relaxing in the evening. There are two expansive windows overlooking Tooting Bec Common and glazed full height French doors leading to the grand hallway.
