A glorious slice of rural England

Drop the baggage of modern life at the door and enjoy the heated pool, the Jacuzzi, the sauna and the aura of peace. Ramble through this large manor then ramble the Exmoor hills. Party, chat, chill or chow down in a glorious slice of rural England.

Rambling house in the rambling hills

The word rambling was invented for Oak Hall. Ramble through the enlightening Drawing room and Tao Room. Ramble through the function-ready Rinzai Hall and Old Barn. And that’s before you’ve tackled the glorious Somerset hill country.

Oak  Hall is anything you want it to be. It’s a prime spot for a party. It’s a conference or seminar centre. It’s perfect for art galleries.  It’s a place to get together, or be apart. It’s ideal for yoga, dance or Tai Chi. But mostly, it’s a place to make merry with 40-70 of your nearest and dearest in a glorious slice of rural England.

The Zen Lounge is the place to curl up with a classic on squishy sofas, to chat and play and laugh and enjoy the simple art of being. Space for dining? Only for 70 or so, with conservatory for post-prandial drinks.

To work off heavy feasts and heavier heads, head off alone or in happy groups over the English lawns to the fields and bridleways of the Exmoor Hills. Back at base, toys abound in the shape of the heated pool, spa with Jacuzzi, two saunas and steam room, licensed bar and wifi.

Pool and Spa

The outdoor heated swimming pool has spectacular views over the Quantock Hills which you can enjoy from the water or on one of the sun loungers on the surrounding terrace. The Spa Wing at Oak Hall is designed for rejuvenation and styled for relaxation.

Soak your tired muscles in the jacuzzi, relax in the steam room and watch your worries evaporate (please note, there is an extra charge for the use of the spa) . Use the Swedish sauna to get rid of those toxins or recharge your batteries with solar energy in the Infra Red sauna. Perfection.
