Regal serenity meets modern living

Ludbrook Manor rises over Dartmoor with one eye on the Salcombe coast. Its fires are roaring; the hot tub is bubbling; the underfloor heating is toasty. Live like a Lord with a sense of regal serenity, yet with wifi and Sky on tap. The whirlpool baths, heated indoor pool and terraced dining are worth getting used to.

Country retreat with luxuries on tap

An English castle with the flag of St George fluttering in the Devon breeze; a roaring fire; a bird’s-eye view over the rolling Dartmoor hills. Ludbrook Manor is your very own South Hams country retreat with luxuries on tap and its own unique style etched into every ornate cornice, chandelier and skylight window.

The magic begins before your key reaches the lock. You’ll sweep up the drive through eight acres of prime Devon grassland and orchard, past the outside terrace and the bridged Japanese pond. Inside, the floors are marbled, the doors solid oak.

Stained-glass windows in the hall and the clan crest in the drawing-room floor hint at history; the spectacular kitchen, elegant dining room and underfloor heating are evidence of a loving restoration. A sense of regal serenity pervades the property just as surely as the wifi and the satellite signals that carry the full Sky TV package.

There’s instant access to fun here: the indoor heated pool features underwater mood lights; en-suite bathrooms have whirlpool baths; there’s a hot tub for chilling and chatting; and, a tennis court. Throw open the Leisure Suite doors and drink and dine on the terrace as Dartmoor falls away before you. You could get used to this.

Pool, hot tub and gardens

Ludbrook Manor has eight acres of beautiful grounds and orchards for you to explore to your heart’s content.

There is an indoor heated swimming pool, with marble tiles and mood lighting. There is a comfortable sitting area pool side for you to relax and the large French doors open up to the adjoining garden and Japanese style lake with arched bridges to the central island. Additionally there is also a hot tub for you to enjoy outside under the stars.

That’s not all, you are spoilt for choice at Ludbrook Manor. Set up a match on the tennis court with its private pavilion, get your pawns ready on the giant granite chess set, or just enjoy the nearby walking and cycling paths.

Between the moors and the sea

Between the moors and the sea, you’ll be torn between the golden beaches and hidden coves around the coast and the wooded valleys, tumbling rivers and granite tors of Dartmoor.
