The magic stays with you

Wonderful views over the Cotswolds. A heated pool and tennis court. Hot tub, games room, playground and acres of gardens. Walk to a gastro-pub.

Perfect for your special escape

Sometimes the facts can’t quite convey the magic. Hill House sleeps 16 in seven bedrooms and has elegant, contemporary furnishing.

It sits in two acres of grounds that merge seamlessly with glorious North Cotswolds countryside. It has a tennis court, heated pool and hot tub. Huge flowing rooms, big terraces, a games room and playground.

But what about the sense of space, light and magic as you sweep up the driveway? The sense of awe inspired by the view from the raised private terrace.

The spirit of togetherness that this house can forge. And the difference that all the little details make. Stay at Hill House and it elevates you. Leave, and it stays with you. Just perfect for your special escape.

Pool, Hot Tub and Gardens

A sense of privacy and privilege prevail here. Hill House’s two acres are ripe for exploration. The terrace invites al fresco dining. The huge heated pool awaits your first cooling dive in summer. The hot tub bubbles all year round, and overlooks the pretty lawn. An astroturf court enables tennis at any time.

You can step out from the Drawing Room and Kitchen onto a big terrace with a barbecue and plenty of tables and chairs for al fresco dining.

There’s a massive lawn with plenty of room for games or just running around, and the two acres of mature gardens to explore and enjoy are a child’s dream come true.

The huge (12m by 6m) heated outdoor pool is set in a suntrap a short way from the house, fenced in for safety.  There is a changing room and outdoor shower.

Close by is the astroturf tennis court – racquets and balls are provided. And the Games Room is just across from the house, with table tennis, pool and table football.

Living Spaces

Filled with oak floors, Designers Guild furniture, Italian sofas, contemporary art, nooks and crannies to curl up in and an impressive library to delve into – the reception rooms offer spaces and places for everyone to enjoy.

There’s a huge Drawing Room, with luxury Italian leather sofas, an oak floor, a big Cotswold stone fireplace and amazing views across to the Cotswold Hills.

There are floor to ceiling French windows on three sides of the room, opening up onto the terrace on one side.  Plus a 50″ TV, Apple hi-fi and lots of children’s toys, books and dvds. Next to the Drawing Room is a huge library of books and a very good piano.

From the library you can step through to the Snug, which is a charming room in the oldest part of the house, with ancient flagstones, more books and lovely views onto the garden. You’ll also appreciate the big home cinema.

There’s even wireless broadband and an iPod dockstation – just dock your iPod and let your tunes fill the house.

What people say

“We had a fantastic weekend and the house was perfect. Rob Ireland Country Pursuits was superb and an excellent suggestion was the fantastic meal from James Benson. But ultimately it was the quality of the service and property that made the weekend perfect. We plan to come again in the summer if we can…” - Morgan
“Just got back to Gozo last night so this is the first opportunity to say how very much we enjoyed Hill House. It was a delightful house and all the amenities perfect for our needs. Your detailed planning prior to arrival was perfect and thank you for the welcome goodies – particularly liked the Victoria Sponge as that is not a Gozitan delicacy! I think the Cotswolds is a gorgeous part of the world. Thanks for everything – it would be lovely to return one day” - Effie
“What better for a family celebration in the middle of winter than a Big Cottage weekend at Hill House. All the facilities you could think of – and many you didn’t. There was plenty to occupy small children and their parents without leaving the grounds, although the small town of Shipston is well worth exploring. A bonus was James Benson coming in to cook a splendid meal. Michael Foster and his housekeeping staff left us in no doubt about the professional and thoughtful way it is all organised” - Jennifer and Robert
"I booked Hill House last weekend for a friends hen party. The house was fantastic. Everything we needed and more! The hot tub was great fun. It was even better in real life than it was in the photos. The rooms were a great size especially the living room and dining room and was very comfortable for 14 of us. I would definitely recommend ( I actually already have) this house to groups of couples, hens or families looking to go away it was fab in February so I can only imagine how lovely it would be in the summer when you could make use of the pool/tennis courts etc." - Lucy
