The main feature of the elegant dining room is the beautiful oval dining table which seats ten. A Tondo mirror and chandelier complete the indulgent look.
Pool and Gardens
The lower ground floor of Campden Edge is dedicated to relaxation and rejuvenation, there’s an indoor swim jet heated pool, with a sculptured ceramic feature wall and lots of space to unwind and enjoy your surroundings.
The large redwood cedar sauna has beech seating with rainbow LED lighting to set the mood, so lie back and let your troubles melt away.
The large landscaped gardens open out onto a beautiful rolling meadow giving you plenty of space to explore. Interesting features include a ‘ha ha’ in the lower garden and the upper terrace provides a sunny area with sheltered seating beneath a circular pergola.
A terrace garden opposite the kitchen makes the perfect spot for al fresco dining with built in seating, table and a barbecue.
Living Spaces
In the Cinema Room one wall is dedicated to entertainment, with a giant projector screen 2 metres in width with surround sound and home cinema equipment. A comfortable sofa runs around the room perfect for movie nights with family and friends.
The lounge is a beautifully light and airy room, with flagstone flooring and large sumptuous rugs. It boasts two large sofas, four comfortable chairs, a bespoke bookcase and TV unit and a Baby Grand piano (a local pianist is available to book for private performances).
The study is a small cosy room ideal for reading, decorated in rust and taupe with a Shargreen campaign desk and bookcase.
Cooking and Dining
The beamed kitchen is very much the heart of the house. It comprises a stylish Loxleys oak kitchen, limestone tiled floor, granite worktops, seven ring gas range with griddle, two large ovens (one with facility for pizza/bread baking), combination oven, microwave, dishwasher and an American style fridge freezer.
There is a large solid timber table which seats up to ten, ideal for breakfast, lunch or informal suppers. Striking pendant lights illuminate the room for an intimate evening meal.
French doors open out from the kitchen onto a large south facing terrace with seating area and barbecue.
Bedrooms
Each of the five double bedrooms has an individual design. Four have en suite bathrooms and there is one family bathroom) Hypnos beds with faux suede bases and wall mounted headboards, TV/DVD players, fitted cupboards and comfy upholstered chairs are a constant theme and make for sweet dreams.
The highlights of the master suite are the contemporary four poster super king bed in oak and a free standing mineral cast bath in a perfect oval for two, set on a raised platform with magnificent views out over the surrounding countryside. The marble tiled en suite bathroom has a double drench shower and the generous dressing room has a full wall of faux baby ostrich panelled wardrobes.
Where pottering is positively encouraged
In Chipping Campden, pottering is positively encouraged. Pop along to Campden Gallery or Bennett’s fine wines. Get gastronomic at the local pubs. Try coffee and cakes in Badger’s tearooms. For kids, wildlife parks, safari and steam railways abound.
