Weir House is more than a cottage. It’s a stylish, luxurious and well-equipped country house. A luxury get-away with open fireplaces and four-poster beds. A family escape, built for children’s dens, hide-and-seek and dressing-up. There’s a puppet theatre, cupboards that overflow with toys, beanbags for flopping, garden play cabin and large plasma TV with surround sound.
People don’t grow up – they just change their toys. If that’s true, the Cotswold Shaker kitchen, shared spa, pool and gym will hit the spot nicely. After a family feast, throw open the doors and explore a playful Beaujolais under the vine-covered pergola or try a spot of croquet on the lawn.
Weir House offers the comfort and attention to detail of a luxury hotel; the privacy, independence and space of your own home; and the civilised ease and style of English country house living. All in a Cotswold idyll of honeyed manor houses, meandering streams and country lanes. The perfect Cotswolds escape.
The light and bright pool house with a 12m heated pool and sun loungers is the perfect place to spend an afternoon, whether playing with the kids or just looking for some relaxation. The pool is shared.
Relax at the spa on site – all your pampering needs, from massages to facials and manicures to pedicures, can be fulfilled during your stay at Weir House. The spa has been featured on Tatler’s 101 Best Spas in the world.
In the beautifully landscaped communal gardens and grounds, facilities include tennis courts, croquet pitch and swimming pool.
There is also a special play area for children with a mini-playground, two-storey Wendy house and a heated play cabin with dressing up gear, toys, art materials and fantastic retro pedal cars and tractors.
The large, elegant drawing room has a stone fireplace and a pitched, beamed ceiling. The windows look out onto the north terrace, lawn and flower beds and the french doors open onto the south terrace and the deep woodland border and trees.
The shared Games Room has a 42” plasma TV with surround sound, a wall of books, a toy cupboard and a games table. As well as comfy sofas for total relaxation and enjoyment.
The kitchen has Cotswold-stone floors and under floor heating, Shaker cupboards, a big centre island, an American style refrigerator-freezer with ice maker, a stove, microwave and two dishwashers.
The kitchen doors open onto a garden terrace that has outdoor furniture and a barbecue. Enjoy alfresco dining under the vine-covered pergola.
The large open plan dining room, complete with 42″ TV can seat up to 10 around the large dining table, perfect for a get together. The space is also perfect for a more intimate dining experience with just your nearest and dearest.
