So, round up 15 friends and family and relocate to a traditional farmhouse. You’ll enter a world of Inglenook fireplaces, crackling fires, dining for 15 and deep slumber blanketed by inky skies.
Outside, two fields have seen many a family test match. And there’s a sheltered play area for when rain tries to stop play. You can eat out here, too, in the cottage garden, among the fruit trees, with barbecue steaks and a drop of Shiraz. Rustle up something local and rustic or be pampered when our chef calls.
Help yourself to this beautiful stretch of St David’s Peninsula. There’s plenty of outdoor space for football and a pitch for rounders, softball or cricket.
Ffynnon Ddewi is set in secluded farm land of around 13 acres and is ideal both for those who want peace and quiet and those want a base for a more active break in South Wales.
The 13 acres of grasslands and meadows span as far as the eye can see. Pack up a picnic and head into the countryside or fire up the barbie and let the sausages sizzle.
The living room in the main farmhouse is large, comfortable and welcoming. During the renovation of this 19th Century building care was taken to retain all the original features including the inglenook fireplace, which is simply wonderful during the winter months.
The farmhouse also has a den for the children to call their own. Head up into the eves, and let the kids have free reign. Get comfy with the cushions and bean bags and have fun with the games and books.
The Original Milking Parlor Barn has it’s own private living room, with a warming stove and large TV for movie nights. And for those summer days the french doors open out onto a private terrace garden, perfect for a catch up with a glass of wine.
The main farmhouse has a large kitchen diner, for you to cook up a storm in during your stay. There are hand made pine cupboards, and everything you need to make a delicious family meal. There is an additional dining room with table and chairs seating six overlooked by a minstrel’s gallery.
The Milking Parlor has a kitchen diner. The large luxury farmhouse kitchen has an island unit, fitted with everything you could possibly need. The dining area seats 15 so that everyone can seat and eat together.
The main farmhouse has three bedrooms to choose from, sleeping a maximum of six people. The Milking Parlor has an additional five bedrooms sleeping a maximum of ten guests plus a cot for the young ones.
The main farmhouse has one twin bedroom on the ground floor, one double bedroom with an en suite shower room and one twin bedroom.
The Milking Parlor has one Master Suite with a double bedroom and en suite bathroom. Two double bedrooms, and two twin bedrooms, so get there quick and take your pick.
